So yeah.. Christmas is around the corner.. many people are still in a tizzy, trying to find that
perfect gift, while others are discovering they still have a long list to shop
for. This last minute situation often leaves them hapless.
So I thought I will share my opinion of some cosmetics I’ve been using for
a while, that I think are perfect christmas gifts for makeup lovers this year. Plus I’ll also show
you some swatches.
They’re not necessarily what I would say everyone should buy for christmas
gifts to their love ones or friends. But if you’re looking for a gift for
makeup lover, then I hope this review helps to give you a few ideas before you
hit the shop on Christmas Eve looking for last minute gifts X

It’s one of Photoready collections from REVLON. It’s a primer and a brightener in one. Slick it under eyes and freshen up eyes or add it to bare lids to brighten that area up as well as prime for shadow.
Love it because:
Has a matte finish and soft texture, creamy, easy to blend and hydrating. Brighten
up tired eyes. It’s kinda primer slash concealer. Who doesn't want a single product to multitask at a ton of different things, right?
Hate it because:
It’s a bit too pricey. Also I don’t like the packaging. It’s the kind where
you twist the end and the primer comes out of a little brush. It's very hard to control how much product will come out. When I opened it the first time, I had to twist about 5 - 6 times, and a lot of product gushed out. Tips:
twist it 2 – 3 times and be patient untill the product comes out.
NYX JUMBO EYE PENCIL – COTTAGE CHEESE (608)

Love it because:
Creamy, glides on effortlessly (no pulling, tugging or fading) and it’s
affordable!! It’s pencil, so can be sharpened. It’is an excelent multi-tasker.
Its intended purpose as an eyeliner that also doubles as an eyeshadow. But for
years I’ve known that people have actually been using this as an eyeshadow base
and also as a highlighter. Well, for me Cottage Cheese ROCKS used in both
capacities.
Hate it because:
It easily gets dirty in your make up bag because of the white packaging. Has
to be sharpened. It’s hard to find because it sells out. It doesn’t available

MAYBELLINE HYPER DIAMONDS EYESHADOW PALLETE
(CHARCOAL DIAMOND/GY-1)

Love it because:
GY-1 contains a pearlescent grey, dark greay, white, black and grey shimmers. Smooth and silky
texture allowing for good blending. Pigmentation of the darker colors are
intense. It promise to give you a glittery diamond effect like.The charcoal
diamond pallete is great for creating an elegant smokey eye for christmas and
new year.
Hate it because:
The lighter colors are not as pigmented as the dark one

Has a silkier, softer, and matte finish
It creates a perfect winged eyeliner look
Love it because:
Long wear and waterproof. Has rich and blendable formula. Creamy and smooth
texture. Silkier and softer finish. In short , it creates beautifully defined
lines. Plus, it’s affordable.
Hate it because:
Poor made plastic packaging, has a tendency to dry out quickly. Tip: Always try to keep the cap closed as soon as you get the creme eyeliner you need on the brush.

Red is a must color for Christmas. So red lipstick or red lipgloss is a must have makeup for lips this christmas. As red lipstick and red lipgloss are very pigmented and hard to remove, so here is the tip to easily remove red lipstick or red lipgloss: wet a cotton ball with milk and gently wipe cotton ball over your lips.

NYX LIP SMACKING FUN COLORS/ROUND LIPSTICK – LSS 545 (HERO)

Love it because:
It has intense cherry red shade with a glossy finish which
is richly pigmented. It will change the entire look dramatically. This color in my opinion looks best on medium to dark skin tone. If you have tan skin like mine, this bright lipstick will lighten up you face. The formula is smooth and glides on like butter, making any face look instantly elegant and glamorous.
Hate it because:
It doesn’t stay longer than 4 hours. It melts easily, especially in the
kind of weather that tropical countries have.

Love it because:
It’s a pretty true red lipstick. Unless you are a huge fan of sheer
lipsticks, this isn’t for you, because this one is extremely bold and opaque,
which is i love. Because for me there is no point wearing red lipstick if it’s
sheer. The texture is smooth and creamy. It leaves your lips soft but without
the super glossy look. It’s definitely working beautifully with neutral eyes
and it’s super super inexpensive.
Hate it because:
The packaging is average. The color tag at the bottom is not in my opinion
always a true match. Some people find it’s not too moisturizing and makes their
lips dry. You need to be prepared to fix it up afterwards. You can easily look
like a child playing with makeup if you aren’t careful applying it.
REVLON COLORBURST LIPGLOSS – 018 (FIRE)

Love it because:
It’s a creamy bright red, not so sticky and very pigmented. The texture is
thin (weightless) and moist, It creates medium shine effect. Can be built into
an opaque high gloss, because it’s having extreme smootness and excellent light
reflecting qualities. The color stays on 4 – 5 hours on my lips (without eating
and drinking). The applicator is awesome. It picks up just enough product and
the fuzzy part feels so soft.
Hate it because:
Revlon states that this gloss is intended to give 5 times the shine of
patent-leather, but in my experience, I don’t get that effect. So if you’re
looking for the glass-like shine this may not be for you. The scent is slightly
chemically, but it dissipated after a few minutes.

Thinner in consistency than black shatter. It's hard to blend with other colors (your color options are very limited), only lighter colors will blend well with it. It doesn't really show over dark colors. Tips: try to apply over light cremes, light peaches and or shimerry or metallic polishes. Must apply on completely dry polish and apply quickly.

NICOLE by OPI KARDASHIAN COLOR – ALL ABOUT THE GLAM

Love it because:
The color is super pretty, it’s lovely soft white. It has a really subtle
but distinct shimmer. Look good under red shatter.
Hate it because:
It’s hard to find. I found that even after 3 coats the polish still wasn’t
very even, but it’s white polish which is in my opinion is hard to apply. Tips:
Apply a thin coat first, then wait untill it dries. The apply a second coat,
shoud be thicker then the first one, wait until it dries. Finally apply a third
coat (i normally wait overnight before applying the third coat, but this is not
necessarily what you should do).
OPI RED SHATTER – NL E55
Price:

Love it because:
The formula shatters pretty nicely and dries well. Look good over white and
silver or lighter colors. It brings out the bottom color beneath and makes it
stand out more.
Hate it because:
